Note: The video is for entertainment to demonstrate how this particular manufacturer made gloves. It is not a depiction of what’s contained in the book.

Title:  How to Make Gloves:  With Diagrams and Photographs Illustrating the Methods of Making Gloves in the Home.
Year: 1950

Purchase a hard copy of this public domain book.  Approximately 92 pages.  Cost:  $21.00.  You’ll receive a spiral bound copy of the book that contains a clear vinyl front, and hardback.

Some Details

What drew me to the book are the easy to follow black and white photographic illustrations contained throughout the book.  I appreciate books that actually show how something is done or made. How to Make Gloves

This book lives up to what I believe a sewing how-to book should be:  Descriptive.  A complete manual.  Of course, I’m selling copies of my original (now in public domain) book.  The few originals left sell on Amazon from $107.00 to $287.00.

How to Make Gloves

As a lover of “all things old” there’s nothing like a pair of vintage leather gloves.  Most are soft and pliable.  When I wear leather gloves my fingers feel naked.
Vintage gloves were made in any number of places due to their popularity throughout the world. Japan, Great Britain, USA, Philippines and Italy (my favorite) are just some manufacturers.  At one time, gloves were a staple of any woman’s wardrobe.
