Simple, but swank halter dress. I think what I like best is the high waistline. In essence, isn’t it an empire waist. Back zipper. Have you noticed maxi dresses made today usually are the “slip on” kind. This maxi is dated 1972 and has a zipper back closing. Very common for true vintage maxis of the day-Zippers.
Simplicity 5349–Maxi halter dress with bodice stitched to skirt front above normal waistline has back zipper closing and “V” shaped neckline. V. 1 & 2 have contrasting collars with middy braid trim. V. 1 is shown with a purchased tie. V. 4 has self-fabric ruffles.
Simplicity 5626–Another halter and halter jumpsuit, both have back zippers and a shaped bodice above normal waistline.
