How to make a nursery rhyme quilt in 21 blocks
UPDATE: June 8, 2010 for Nursery rhyme free quilt block follow along is now complete. All blocks have been disabled. Click here for information on how to purchase the complete nursery rhyme quilt.
Over the next 21 weeks I’m posting a series of 21 quilt blocks as part of a nursery rhyme quilt. I’ll post one (1) block of the quilt for embroidering each week. Well, each week or so (smile) up to the eleventh week. To receive the additional blocks to the quilt 12-20 I’d ask that you please subscribe. Block no. 21, Little Miss Muffet, the last block of the quilt is provided to subscribers presenting photos of at least one of their complete quilt blocks of the series by deadline (last week of block no. 20).
Oh, I guess I should explain how to subscribe.

Thank you for understanding and happy embroidering!
TUTORIAL: How to Resize Blocks
Click on the block >>>Next right click on the now enlarged pic of the block to “Save Picture As” a jpeg (I usually save my files to the desktop. You can save your file anywhere you choose.
Once you’ve saved the file as a .jpeg you can open the file (I use photoshop) and resize the file if you’d like. You can also save the file again in photoshop to turn the .jpeg into a .pdf.
Here’s some need to know information
1. Transfer each block with carbon paper onto a block seven inches square.
2. Fabric suggestions: Cream or off-white in percale, sateen, muslin or broadcloth are best for the quilt blocks since the colors of the embroidery floss contrast nicely with it.
3. Out of one yard of material 36 inches wide, 21 seven inch blocks can be cut.
4. Outline all the lettering in black embroidery floss, it will tie the quilt blocks more closely together.
Complete the instructions for joining the nursery quilt blocks together are given later.
Nursery Rhyme blocks:
