Similar to other basic patterns, Butterick basics also includes a jewel neckline, which should be standard in a basic.  Also included are facings, but no tie belt as is the case with some Simplicity basic patterns. 

Description

Fitting shell, knee length, has jewel neckline, fitted bodice, straight skirt, front opening and long sleeves.  Zipper opening.

Find modern day basics at your local fabric store.  Or seek them out online.  A must-have sewing tool for any seamstress.
