From My Private Stash: Simplicity 3023 and Butterick 9047

Vintage lingerVintage lingerieThere’s so much to love about this pattern:

1. It’s lingerie
2. The nightgown has an empire waist (always flattering).
3. The pattern includes pieces for panties.
4. The panties have bottom ruffles.
5. View 2′s upper is bound with ribbon
6. There are three (3) lengths of nightgowns: walz, baby doll (or shortie) and floor length.
7. It’s made in only 5 pieces.

S3023High-waisted nightgown is designed for pure figure flattery.  Wide V-neckline is caught by soft bows at the shoulders.  Or without bows.

Two reasons why I love vintage lingerie and making you own  vintage lingerie is worth the effort.

Beautiful patterns! I can see them made up in cotton voile or cotton lawn as pretty summer dresses.
