Vintage Caftan Pattern Simplicity 5971

Simplicity 5971

Caftan patterns are sexy, but Simplicity 5971 is extremely special because of its off-shoulder design and added design option of making it in two types of fabrics.  I mean come on, it’s magnificent.  How easy are they to dress up with flats, sandals or a pair of high heels, earring and a few bracelets?  You’re Good-TO-GO.

Description:  Simplicity 5971

The caftan with back zipper and cowl type neckline has long kimono sleeves and slit on left side and opening for arm on right side.  View 2 is featured in two fabrics.

This easy to make caftan is made in five pieces.  One of which is a simple facing.  Fabric options include jersey, matte, crepe, crepe-back satin, printed silk, surah, challis, or sateen.

This pattern is in the boutique of the Vintage Sewing Pattern Portal
